The polo game that never happened (2)

The first figure I painted was the official Scinde Horse Regiment, a very striking figure for the amount of gold embroidery and a combination of blue and red.

The polo game that never happened (2)

After placing the figures, I painted the porch structure and the sign of the Army polo club of Bombay . Although the two balls of the sign are painted white in this picture, it was decided to paint them gold later.

The polo game that never happened

Once I made the veranda of the officers club  placed the figures on the base and after hitting the grass and paint, saw that the feet of the figures fit perfectly.

The polo game that never happened

After so long without updating the blog, I show you some of the latest work I've done with Antonio Zapatero. As you can see there is a diorama of British troops in India.
The thought came to my great friend and collector Pacifico Prado, who chose the regiments, stage and position of figures. The diorama shows the presentation to General Kitchener, by the A.D.C. of the Viceroy of India, the officers of the team  of the Indian States would play a polo match against a  team europens officers of British army .
While Indian officers are being presented to the Captain General of India (Kitchener), the European officers are more relaxed state smoking and drinking a gin-tonic on the veranda Polo Club Bombay.
The regiments represented by the British Army are: Scinde Horse, 13th Frontier Forces Riles, 19th KGO Light Cavalry and 28th Lancers.
By the Indian states are: Alwar, Baria, Dhrangadhra and Mysore.
The figures are 60mm originals and modeled with Epofer (Feroca) and the veranda is made with Evergreen plastic, balsa wood model boat fittings and resin parts.
I'll post pictures of the figures one by one so that you can see in more detail.

Hello friends, I show finished another figure. This is an official British Grenadiers Marines at the port of Chatham in 1755. Chatham was port and important dockyard at the time and is located at the mouth of the River Thames.
As you have appreciated is the figure of  Art-Girona Grenadier officer modeled by Antonio Zapatero at 70 mm.
To suit the Marine uniform I had to change  his cuff, vest and jacket, and remove with the blade the modeled drawings in the mitre.
I wanted to represent the officer in front of the ship where he is going to serve. The ship I made from a set of blueprints  and used  Evergreen plastic and balsa wood, the stones are plaster and gull feathers tinfoil.
